Beginning in 2003, professionals, amateurs and pro-am competitors can accrue points towards their USDSC Champions League status at the San Francisco Open.

The San Francisco Open joins a prestigious circuit of competitions, including the Embassy Ball, Ohio Star Ball, Yankee Classic and Manhattan DanceSport Championships, at which dancers can accumulate points towards cash awards and the chance to compete in Grand Championships and a team match at USDSC in Miami. The USDSC Champions League joins the Dancesport Superbowl as a fun, exciting, and rewarding collaboration between competitions. The organizers of the San Francisco Open would like to thank John Kimmins and the American Ballroom Company for this exciting opportunity.
