Super Bowl
San Francisco Open Celebrates 23rd Year with New Events
Author - Laura LaGassa
Mar 03, 2003
Over the past 22 years, the San Francisco Open has grown into a top-notch competition with nationwide appeal, and 2003 promises to be
the most dynamic edition yet. We're celebrating our 23rd anniversary by featuring many new events. This year we've joined both the Dancesport Superbowl Series and the USDSC Champions League, along with such prestigious competitions as the Ohio Star Ball, the Heritage Classic, the Can/Am DanceSport Gala, the Manhatten DanceSport Championships, and
the Embassy Ball.

We are happy to announce that we are the new home of the Western United States Pre-Teen, Junior, and Youth Amateur Dancesport Championships. The
level of dancing among young people in the Bay Area is nothing short of astonishing, no one will want to miss seeing the future of dancesport.
For adult amateur couples, we've added Over-35 Latin and Standard events, an Over-50 Standard competition, and will honor our Championship
10-Dance Couple with a special trophy.

The San Francisco Open offers a full program of Pro/Am Scholarships and multi-dance events, including the only Closed Gold Scholarship in the
country. This year we have expanded our Pro/Am multi-dance program to include Open Standard and Smooth events for Over-50 dancers.

For more information, please visit our web site at http://www.sfopen.com.
Or call our office at 650.366.0504

Hope to see you all in San Francisco….
